Founded by Kevin Medina, Forward Training is for people who want straightforward coaching and a clear plan that makes sense. No confusing workouts or random exercises. Every program is designed to help you get stronger, move better, and stay consistent over time.

Whether you train in person or online, the goal stays the same: steady progress that lasts.

At Forward Training, everything starts with the basics done well. Training is built around progressive strength work, proper movement, and programs that adjust as you get stronger and more capable.

Sessions are structured and purposeful, but flexible enough to meet you where you’re at. There are no random workouts or shortcuts. Every phase of training is designed to support long term strength, better performance, and overall fitness.

You’ll always know what you’re working on and why, so you can train with confidence and stay consistent.

Forward Training works with a wide range of people, from everyday adults and busy professionals to athletes at different stages of development.

This includes youth and teen athletes who are learning proper movement, building strength, and gaining confidence in a safe, supportive environment. It also includes adults who want to improve their fitness, feel more resilient, and perform better in daily life.

Online coaching is available for those who want a clear training plan, accountability, and expert guidance they can follow from anywhere.

Forward Training isn’t limited to one “type” of client. If you’re committed to improving and willing to train consistently, you’ll fit right in.

I believe fitness should support your life, not take it over.

As a certified personal trainer in Vaughan with over 12 years of experience, I’ve seen plenty of quick fix programs come and go. I first got into fitness back in high school through martial arts and strength training, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned since 2013, it’s that real progress isn't about being extreme. It’s about being consistent.​

Whether you’re a beginner stepping into the gym for the first time, a busy professional, or an athlete looking for an edge, my goal at Forward Training is to make exercise feel straightforward rather than overwhelming. I focus on building strength over time and keeping your joints healthy so you can keep doing what you love for the long haul.

My approach is backed by certifications in strength training, nutrition, and movement assessment, but I don’t believe in cookie cutter plans. Every program I design is built specifically for your goals and what you can realistically maintain. I’m a big believer in clear communication and honesty. I want you to understand the why behind our training so you feel confident and capable even when I'm not standing next to you.

Outside the gym, I stay active with Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai. I also love dancing bachata and salsa and spending time with my family and friends. I try to practice what I preach by training hard so I can enjoy the rest of my life to the fullest.
